My goal is to provide a safe environment where clients can learn to build rapport, trust, and experience felt safety. Clients report they feel seen, heard, accepted, and understood. A safe calm environment encourages clients to “use their voice” a gentle prompt my clients hear often. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit. Clients can find hope in their strengths.

I will meet you where you are on your journey. With compassionate, direct, and authentic care I can help you discover, and, in many instances, rediscover your inner strengths, problem solving skills, and lost selves. I believe in using compassionate confrontation and client accountability. Working together you will learn and be able to apply new strategies to promote enduring success. If you are motivated for treatment and ready to work, I am your counselor.

Because results are important, I offer a variety of quantitative assessments to gauge our progress and help you recognize how far you have come. Clients often do not recognize their progress, and providing a snapshot of their success is motivating and fuels continued growth.

Just as a Lotus flower planted in the dirtiest of water finds its way to the light to bloom, I believe that you can discover the light shining within, motivating you to grow, heal, and thrive. Thank you for taking a moment to learn about our approach to healing your mind, body, & spirit. Although much of my work is focused on trauma and related conditions, I treat numerous mental health concerns in adolescents and adults.

Strengths based theory focuses on helping clients to recognize their strengths and apply them into their healing. Our goal is for you become “unstuck” and experience post traumatic growth!

Our work begins as we get to know one another and build a strong therapeutic alliance. Initially we focus on establishing safety, and building trust. Throughout out work together, you will learn how to stabilize and regulate your moods, manage anxiety, learn distress tolerance techniques, grounding, mindfulness, and coping skills. Psych-education expands your knowledge and understanding of mental health wellness and helps to promote strength, healing, and growth.
